Essay Contest Submissions Due March 22nd

Advantage Credit Union Scholarship

Advantage Credit Union has three scholarships for 2024 graduates. One $2000, one $1000. and one $750 scholarship will be awarded. Open to any high school senior who is a member of ACU and plans on attending a two-year, four-year or technical school in the fall semester. Deadline is March 22nd.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a graduating high school senior entering a two-year or four-year college or trade school in 2024-2025 school year. Must be a member in good standing of Advantage Credit Union for at least 6 months prior to application deadline.

Application Process: Applicants must submit a business style resume' not to exceed two pages in length and answer the following essay question in 500 words or less:

As cooperative community organizations, one of the principles at the heart of the credit union movement is concern for community. What does community mean to you? How have you served your community, and how do you see your credit union working in your community? Consider sharing personal examples and experiences.

Submissions: Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 22nd. Submissions will be accepted in person at the credit union or via mail if postmarked by Friday, March 22nd. Mailed applications should be sent to: ACU Scholarship Contest, 121 W. 3rd St. N., Newton IA 50208
