86th Annual Meeting


2024 Notice of Balloting

Advantage Credit Union members may vote either in-person or electronically.  A member shall have one vote regardless of the number of shares held by the member.  Members shall be at least 16 years of age to vote. 

Electronically: Members may vote electronically by using our online banking (ItsMe247).  If you do not currently use our online banking, you may click on “First Time User” to begin under online banking login.  You may call or come in if you need further assistance setting up online banking.  Electronic voting will take place for a limited time from March 18, 2024, through April 12, 2024.  Go to www.acuiowa.org and select “Online Banking Login”.  After you log in to your account in ItsMe247, you will find a banner on the left side of the screen to click on reading “Place Your Vote!   You may vote by checking the box next to the name of the candidates that you choose.  You are allowed to vote for no more than 3 candidates.  After making your selection, click below on “Record My Vote”.  Once you vote online, the “Place Your Vote” banner will no longer display on your ItsMe247 screen, and you will not be able to change your vote.  If you vote online, you will not be allowed to vote again at the annual meeting. 

In Person: If you do not vote electronically, you may still cast your vote in person at the annual meeting and election held at the American Legion, 1101 W 4th Street S, Newton, Iowa on April 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. 

Three positions on the Advantage Credit Union Board of Directors are open for election.  Each position is for a three-year term.  Nominations will NOT be taken from the floor at the annual meeting.

Hollie Van Wyk

Hollie has been a member for 12 years. She has been employed at Principal Financial Group for the last 16 years and currently works in the financial department as an Investment Operations Analyst.  She has an associate degree in business and finance.  Hollie has two boys aged 23 and 21.  She has been on the board of Advantage Credit Union for 10 years.  Having a business and finance background, Hollie uses that knowledge to understand the credit union financial statements and make quality decisions on behalf of the members. “I enjoy my time working with the other board members and staff. Over the years, I have listened to what our members want and have advocated for new technology to allow our members easier access to their accounts.”

 

Clint Gotta

Clint has been a member for 6 years. He has been an Operating Engineer for Local UAW #234 for the last 10 years and works on various projects throughout the state. He has been part of the Newton community for 22 years, is married to his wife, Andrea, and has 2 grown sons. During this time, he has grown to know and love many of the citizens in the community.  He is a member of Haven Vineyard church in Newton. Clint is a detail-oriented individual and is always willing to go the extra mile for the success of the credit union and its members. Clint says, “I believe we are making great strides in a positive direction for member growth and other services at the credit union. I feel it is important to continue this trend and finish what we’ve started.” 

 

Monica Rae

Monica has been a member for 6 years. She has been a cosmetologist for the last 15 years and owns a private studio in Newton. She is also a stylist educator. Monica is a lifelong resident of Newton and has two adult sons, ages 20 and 18, with her husband. She has an associate degree in applied sciences. Monica supports the Salvation Army’s holiday gift distribution program and her business sponsors multiple Newton sports teams. As an open-minded individual, Monica can see issues from all sides to make quality, unbiased decisions for the members. “The credit union has such a great group of people working there. They have gone above and beyond to help my personal and business goals financially. I would love to be part of this amazing group of people too.”

Join us as we hold our 86th Annual Meeting. Doors open at 9am. A hot breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 10 a.m. Breakfast is complimentary for members and their guest. Reservations for breakfast are now closed.
